Summary
The Cunninghams Gap Reconstruction Project is repairing a crucial two-kilometre section of the Cunningham Highway at Cunninghams Gap following extensive damage as a result of bushfires in 2019.
Located within the Main Range National Park which is part of the Gondwana Rainforests World Heritage Area, the project carefully manages heritage preservation and environmental protection to ensure the surrounding area is not impacted.
The recovery works are jointly funded by the Australian and Queensland Governments through the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA).
