Sustainability support to achieve a ‘Excellent’ (50 to 75 points) As Built Rating score during the construction phase of the project.
The Cowie Environmental Services (Cowie) team utilised their Environmental and Sustainability Advisor to provide sustainability consulting support for the Inland Rail Narrabri to North Star (N2NS) project. Cowie personnel provided support and deliverables to secure ISC Credits and the rating level of ‘Excellent’.
Drafting credit summary forms – assist with drafting credit summary forms (CSFs) for provision to ARTC for review.
Submission to the Infrastructure Sustainability Council
Compiling as-built drawings and data to provide evidence for the CSFs
Monthly data input into the GHG calculator, materials model and water balance model and analysis of trends
Assist with data compilation and analysis of diesel trails and idle time monitoring
Finalising and implementing the waste management plan
Ecological/habitat enhancement activities (including working with the ecological consultants once commissioned)
Compiling information, discussions with relevant team members and writing case studies for project innovations
Other tasks as requested by the Sustainability Manager
Successfully completed all of the above responsibilities between May 2022 and June 2024.
