Cowie Environmental (Cowie) provided environmental support services to TMR’s Inland Rail project team in the form of providing expert advice on environmental matters and assisting in dealing with key internal stakeholders. Specialist advice given included project requirements regarding assessment, conditioning, approvals and TMR’s other statutory obligations related to the environment. In addition, the role also involved reviewing proposed designs, technical reports and other internal documentation and providing specialist advice to reduce environmental impacts.
In this role, Cowie provided full-time environmental support services and specialist advice to TMR’s Inland Rail project team. This included undertaking constraints analysis of proposed infrastructure and assisting in community consultation sessions.
This role required Cowie personnel to work with a range of technical professionals to ensure the delivery of high-quality deliverables, which met client expectations of timing and budget.
Cowie were able to successfully deliver environmental support services and specialist advice to the client and gain further experience in the delivery of a rail infrastructure project in an environmental advisor capacity.
