Great Divide Mining (GDM) is a Queensland based minerals explorer targeting gold and technology metals. GDM proposes to commence mining of a gold deposit at their Yellow Jack Project (YJP) located approximately 40km south of Greenvale (North-West of Townsville) in northern Queensland.

GDM’s exploration program was undertaken during late 2023 within and surrounding the footprint of the previous drilling program that was completed in the 1990’s. In mid-2024 GDM undertook exploration drilling within the tenement to further their knowledge of the area and progress the site. The purpose of the proposed drilling activities was to provide additional data to improve the level of confidence in the resource estimates under the Australian Code for Reporting of Exploration Results, Mineral Resources and Ore Reserves (JORC Code) and to provide information about groundwater resources. Cowie undertook a post drilling inspection to verify compliance with all applicable environmental requirements, including the conditions of approval and the EMP.

The post drilling inspection report outlined the rehabilitation status and highlighted any areas that required additional rehabilitation works to ensure compliance and best practice management at the site.
