Summary
Cowie Environmental Services (Cowie) developed a water quality monitoring program (WQMP) for BCAO to develop an understanding of nutrient loss pathways in farming systems and control options. Cowie engaged with BCAO members to establish relevant, effective, and cost-conscious water quality monitoring goals. The WQMP outlined legal and best practice requirements for water quality monitoring and reporting whilst providing important regional context, including the surrounding environmental values and ambient water quality.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
Project Manager
The Project Manager was the primary point of contact for the client. The Project Manager was responsible for coordinating discussions with the client and managing site inspections.
Environmental Scientists
Key Cowie personnel were responsible for the preliminary on-site inspections of farmland and the overall documentation and development of the WQMP.
Key Outcomes
- The Cowie team successfully developed a Water Quality Monitoring Program that met BCAO’s expectations.
